Don t get me wrong it is nice but if you are looking for a park with numerous waterfalls that will drop your jaw i recommend rock island state park. Hiking swimming picnicking and waterfalls. These overlooks are some of the most scenic and significant along the eastern highland rim.
Best part about it. There are 3 waterfalls to view throughout the park and you can even swim in the river near great falls. The park boasts several waterfalls but twin falls is the largest with an 80 foot drop.

The trail that leads to twin falls actually starts at the westernmost part of the parking lot. You can stay a week in this part of tn and not see all the easy to get to waterfalls. The scenery at rock island is amazing.
It straddles white and warren counties with collins and caney river forks coming together. This park is great for fishing but it is recommended that swimmers be weary of the dam and waters of unknown depths due to possible deadly currents. About the park rock island state park is an 883 acre park located on the headwaters of center hill lake at the confluence of the caney fork collins and rocky rivers. The caney fork collins and rocky river all converge in the park offering some excellent kayaking and canoeing opportunities for visitors to the park.
Many flow year round while some are more dependent on water flow from tva. Some waterfalls are located on trails and some are easily viewed from overlooks. It is not a loop but an out and back type of trail.
Upon entering rock island state park from the east the parking area for this trail is located right after the old cotton mill my friend and i actually ended up getting lost because it is tucked away there quite nicely.
